Quality Inspection China | Pre-Shipment
QC Service

Our QC team inspects your goods at the factory in China before they load onto a container. Defects get fixed or replaced. You receive a full written report with photos. Bad goods don't reach your warehouse.

What a Failed Shipment Actually Costs

Without inspection, problems show up too late.
You pay for freight, duties, and storage — and only then find out the goods cannot be sold. The supplier is thousands of miles away. Fixing the issue takes weeks or months, if it happens at all.
Quality problems are common in China sourcing. Workers change. Materials vary. Production standards slip.

The only reliable way to control this is simple: check the goods before they leave the factory.

What Our QC Team Checks

Every inspection is customized to your product and specifications. These are the standard check categories we cover.

Dimensions & Weight

We measure a sample of units against your approved specifications. Tolerances are checked and documented.

Color & Appearance

Color accuracy against approved sample or Pantone reference. Surface defects, scratches, and finish consistency.

Materials & Construction

Material type verification, stitching, assembly quality, joints, and structural integrity checks relevant to the product type.

Function & Performance

For functional products: operation tests, electrical safety spot checks, battery function, mechanism testing.

Labeling & Marking

Label content accuracy, barcode scan testing, country of origin marking, CE/compliance markings where required.

Packaging & Carton Check

Inner and outer packaging quality, drop test simulation, correct quantity per carton, carton marking accuracy.

What You Get in Your Inspection Report

You receive a clear report within 24 hours — with photos, defect details, and a final decision you can act on immediately.

How AQL Sampling Works

AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) is the international standard for statistical sampling in quality control. It tells you how many units to inspect from a batch and how many defects are acceptable before failing the shipment. We default to standard commercial AQL levels unless you specify otherwise.

Defect Type
Standard AQL Level
What It Means
Example
Critical Defects
0 (Zero Tolerance)
Any critical defect = automatic fail. No exceptions.
Sharp edges on a children's toy, broken electrical component, toxic material
Major Defects
AQL 2.5
Defects that will affect product use or customer perception.
Wrong color, broken zipper, incorrect label text, significant scratch on visible surface
Minor Defects
AQL 4.0
Defects that reduce quality but don't affect function.
Slight color variation, minor packaging crease, small surface mark in non-visiblearea

Questions Buyers Ask About China Quality Inspection

Questions Buyers Ask About China Quality Inspection

Once goods are loaded and shipped, you've paid for freight, duties, and storage — even if the goods are defective. Getting a replacement or refund from a Chinese supplier after delivery is slow and difficult. Catching problems at the factory costs a few hundred dollars to fix. After shipping, the same problem can cost ten times more.

It's a quality check performed when at least 80% of your order is finished and packed, before it leaves the factory. An inspector visits the factory, randomly samples a statistically valid number of units, checks them against your specifications, and delivers a written report. The report gives you a pass or fail result — and you decide whether the goods ship.

We notify you immediately with the full report and photos. We then contact the factory on your behalf to discuss the issue and agree on a resolution — rework, unit replacement, or in serious cases, batch rejection and refund negotiation. We stay involved until the issue is resolved. Goods don't ship until you confirm you're satisfied.

Trust is built over time — but it doesn't eliminate human error. Long-term suppliers can still have a bad production run, change their raw material supplier, or have a staffing change in their QC department. Consistent pre-shipment inspection is the professional standard across the sourcing industry, regardless of supplier relationship history.

Most pre-shipment inspections for standard orders take 4–8 hours at the factory, depending on product complexity and batch size. You receive the written report within 24 hours of the inspection visit. For large or complex orders, we may allocate more time or assign multiple inspectors.
